New City

In February, I decided that South Jersey was no longer the place for me. Though I was comfortable in my workplace and had a nice place to live on the beach, I didn't feel like I was really connecting with people like I'd hoped. What to do when population is dwindling and your city is being overrun by corrupt officials? Run off to a new city.

I moved to Jersey City with hopes of doing more meaningful work, meeting new people, becoming involved, and reconnecting with all the old ambitious people I used to know. Once I learned that my new company would be responsible for this City's resurgence, I knew I found a new home. Of course, I still pursue the coasters as heavily as ever, but it's good to know I'm behind something big. And not being in NYC also allows me to still do the band.

I do hope to return to the shore again in the future. So much I have left to do, though now is not the time for that. As I type this, I see that Atlantic City is finally coming around... I really hope they find their new identity. Change is hard. But if you don't evolve, you die.
